Science and Technology

As a member of the Senate Republican High Tech Task Force, I support and am actively engaged in advocating for sound tax, trade and regulatory policies that ensure Idaho and the rest of the U.S. remain on the cutting edge of science and technology research, development and innovation.

I support maintaining tax credits for research and development - while eliminating all capital gains taxes on start-ups and small businesses - to assure the steady flow of investment.  These investments are key to pioneering advancements and creating good, high-paying jobs.  

It is critical the Senate promotes and maximizes science and technology so that the U.S. maintains the course as a research and technological leader on the world stage.
