“Over 80 percent of our nation’s jobs are supplied by small businesses. This legislation is an attempt to protect those jobs and remove the stifling hand of unnecessary government regulation.”
“The cities of the Treasure Valley are to be commended for their idea to lower phosphorus levels in a fiscally responsible manner. This approach benefits all of the communities involved and will have a positive impact on the river system. This is an excellent collaborative project that should move forward."
“Interning in the U.S. Senate is an excellent way to learn about the legislative branch of government and to see where much of our nation’s early history took place."
This bill would address key deficiencies in RECA, and extend compensation to a number of currently unqualified but suffering uranium workers and downwinders. Considering the importance of this legislation for many of our constituents, we respectfully request that you move quickly to hold a hearing on this legislation.”
Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Jim Risch issued the following statement on the 60th anniversary of the beginning of the Korean War. “Vicki and I wish to thank the brave Idaho soldiers and their families who 60 years ago put everything on the line to come to the aid of a people in an unknown […]
“Wendy Olson has a background and the experience that makes her an excellent choice to serve as Idaho’s U.S. Attorney. I supported her nomination and am pleased that she has been confirmed by the U.S. Senate,” said Risch. “I also want to recognize the distinguished service of Tom Moss, the outgoing Idaho U.S. Attorney. For the past decade Tom has been a strong advocate of the justice system and working with local governments and the state in prosecuting gang members. His efforts have done much good for all of Idaho.”

That federal land impacts all 44 county budgets in Idaho, from the inability to generate revenue from the land since it is not private, to the cost of providing services, such as search and rescue,” said Senator Jim Risch. “It is imperative for the federal government to provide a payment to these counties through a program that has been in place for over thirty years.”
The EPA rule is nothing more than another power grab by a federal agency and an erosion of the Constitution of this great country. It would lead to a massive tax on every aspect of American life from the ringing alarm clock in the morning to the last light switch turned off at night and it would be levied by bureaucrats who are not held accountable to the voice of the people.
From a cost and efficiency standpoint the facts are clear that leaving the radar operation in Boise was the only decision they could make.
Fresh white potatoes have good nutritional value. There is simply no science-based reason to exclude these potatoes from our federal food programs like WIC. Their use not only helps those who need food products but supports Idaho family farmers, too. I urge the Secretary to fix this omission and include fresh white potatoes on the list of eligible vegetables.
