Introduce Resolution Recognizing August as National Shooting Sports Month
WASHINGTON - U.S. Senator Jim Risch (R-Idaho) and Representative Tony Wied (R-Wis.) introduced a resolution recognizing the contributions of small business firearm manufacturers to the economy and recreation. The resolution also designates August as National Shooting Sports Month.
“Idaho’s small business firearm manufacturers drive innovation, prioritize responsible gun ownership, and protect our Second Amendment traditions,” said Risch. “I am proud to recognize these important American manufacturers and designate August as National Shooting Sports Month.”
"Wisconsin is home to many incredible small firearm manufacturers who help drive our economy and ensure access to safe, reliable firearms to exercise our Second Amendment rights," said Wied. "I'm proud to join Senator Risch in recognizing their contributions by designating August as National Shooting Sports Month."
Risch and Wied are joined by U.S. Senators Mike Crapo (R-Idaho), Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.), Ted Budd (R-N.C.), Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.), Bill Cassidy (R-La.), Steve Daines (R-Mont.), Deb Fischer (R-Neb.), Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), Bill Hagerty (R-Tenn.), Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-Miss.), Jim Justice (R-W.Va.), James Lankford (R-Okla.), Mike Lee (R-Utah), Cynthia Lummis (R-Wyo.), Dave McCormick (R-Pa.), Mike Rounds (R-S.D.), Tim Scott (R-S.C.), Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.), and Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.) in introducing the resolution.
