Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Jim Risch made the following statement on President Obama’s fiscal year 2016 budget proposal:

“President Obama has again crafted a budget that taxes more, spends more, and adds to our ever-increasing $18 trillion national debt. This job-killing budget does not accomplish the one thing that American families need, and that is more money in their pocket. American families have seen their paychecks go down by an average of three thousand dollars under Obama, and this budget shows that more pain is on the way. Idahoans know that the more the federal government intervenes in the economy and private sector, the worse things get for the American people. This budget paints a bleak picture for job creators and American families.  We will work hard to try to bring some Idaho common sense to this monster budget.
