Washington, DC - U.S. Senator Jim Risch has been reading through the latest health care reform proposal, which was offered by Senate Democratic leadership.

"As I read this bill, it is apparent that it will raise the cost of health insurance, raise the cost of health care, raise taxes and reduce Medicare benefits. I cannot support it," said Risch.

He has also posted the 2,074 pages of legislation and the preliminary cost analysis of the bill on his Web site.

The first vote on the legislation is expected sometime this weekend.
