One-Size-Fits-All approaches to public land management, mainly by directives from Washington, D.C. are not the right direction. Utilizing these contentious methods would only serve to foster resentment in western communities and eliminate the potential for collaborative public land management efforts.

Passage of this amendment will allow for a thorough review of the realignment and a determination of the cost effectiveness of transferring the Boise TRACON to Salt Lake City. We want those answers before any changes are made.
For the past eight years groups around the state have been working voluntarily and in good faith to preserve Idaho's sage grouse habitat. The listing of the sage grouse as a candidate species does not add any additional resources, other than greater federal oversight. While we do not believe greater oversight is necessary, the state, conservation groups, permittees and recreationists will continue to find ways to reverse the decline of sage grouse habitat.
At a time when communities are struggling to keep jobs and meet other onerous federal mandates, it is important that the EPA partner with communities rather than dictate to them.
