Strong families are the foundation of our communities. Their access to good schools, healthcare, and other resources is critical for lifelong success.
I have long believed that the responsibility of educating our youth lies first with parents, supported by teachers and locally elected school officials. Parents and local school districts know our students best, and they should decide what is taught and how our education dollars are spent, not federal bureaucrats. The federal government should partner with the state and local districts to support critical educational objectives.
The most basic right we have is the right to life. I am strongly pro-life and always have been. I have consistently advocated for legislation that protects and promotes human life, including the unborn.
