Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Jim Risch (R-ID) met with Judge Brett Kavanaugh, President Trump’s nominee to serve as Associate Justice to the U.S. Supreme Court. At the conclusion of the meeting, Senator Risch issued this statement: 

“My meeting with Judge Kavanaugh confirmed what I believed to be true: he is a person of strong moral character and a thoughtful, principled jurist who rejects judicial activism. Throughout our conversation, he assured me that he will support our Constitution and look to the rule of law. I hope to see his nomination come to the floor soon.”
