WASHINGTON – Yesterday, following more than a year of bipartisan work and negotiations, Chairman Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) and Ranking Member Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) of the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources introduced an energy innovation bill package in which 5 of Senator Jim Risch’s priorities were included. The legislation, the American Energy Innovation Act, will modernize U.S. energy policy and ensure continued American leadership on national security and clean energy. The bill is expected to advance to the Senate floor in the coming weeks.

“The American Energy Innovation Act is the culmination of a significant amount of hard work, and I thank Chairman Murkowski and Ranking Member Manchin for the inclusion of provisions that will solidify the United States’ role as a global leader on energy policy with an all-of-the-above energy strategy,” said Risch.
