Carnegie Medal to Boise Native

Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Jim Risch (R-ID) presented the Carnegie Medal to Joshua Grimmett of Boise. The award recognized his heroism in saving a woman from drowning last May. Click here to view KTVB's coverage of today's ceremony.

A Carnegie Medal is presented to any civilian who “voluntarily risks his or her own life, knowingly, to an extraordinary degree while saving or attempting to save the life of another person,” according to the Carnegie Hero Fund Commission website. Click here to learn more.
