Washington, D.C. - In recognition of their tremendous efforts and years of success, U.S. Senator Jim Risch has named Blue Water Technologies as the Idaho Small Business of the Day for National Small Business Week 2014.  The company will be recognized in the Congressional Record of the United States Senate.

“I am pleased to recognize Blue Water Technologies as an exceptional small business.  This is a small company that has grown and adapted for more than 10 years,” said Risch. “Blue Water Technologies started as a water treatment technology company and today is an international water treatment leader.  In part due to help from a State Trade and Export Promotion (STEP) grant, Blue Water Technologies has been able to further develop their international strategy, which has expanded to 300 installations across six continents, with projections of up to $1 million in export sales.  I congratulate everyone at Blue Water Technologies on their success.”

Founded in 2003, Blue Water Technologies has become an international industry leader in wastewater treatment technologies.  The company’s commitment to clean water in both municipal and industrial settings through primary treatment, filtration, and nutrient removal distinguishes Blue Water Technologies as a leading authority in a unique marketplace.  The company’s dedication to customer service, high quality performance, and using environmentally-friendly methods exemplifies the hard work and ingenuity characteristic of Idaho.  Blue Water Technologies has earned a remarkable reputation in the United States and abroad.

Senator Risch is the highest ranking Republican on the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship.  The committee oversees proposed legislation on matters relating to entrepreneurship and provides oversight of the Small Business Administration.  They also research, investigate and report all problems relating to American’s small businesses to the full Senate.
