Washington, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Jim Risch (R-Idaho) has hired Bryson Wong as his new legislative assistant in his Washington, D.C. office. Wong, who has an extensive background handling energy and natural resources policy, will primarily focus on energy issues and matters involving the Idaho National Lab. Wong comes to Sen. Risch’s office from the American Public Power Association where he served as director of government relations. Prior to that, he spent seven years on the House Natural Resources Committee serving for two Republican chairmen and working on the committee’s Water, Power and Oceans Subcommittee where he focused on issues involving western water and power production.

“I’m fortunate to have Bryson join my legislative staff in Washington, D.C.,” Risch said. “Bryson brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role, and he will be a great benefit to my team as we work on policy solutions to address the various energy issues facing Idaho.”
